The CSWR paper prize is a monetary award funded by CSSW alumni for an exceptional paper submission, to be published in the CSWR, addressing an issue of power, race, oppression and privilege and proposing and innovative intervention, theory or approach to address the issue identified.

In addition to the monetary award, the selected author will participate in a rigorous editorial process in collaboration with a specially assigned team and be recognized as the inaugural prize winning paper in the CSWR print version and online.

If you wish to be considered for the prize, please select "Prize" when making your submission. All prize submissions will automatically be considered for general publication in the journal.

  • The paper makes a unique and thoughtful contribution to discourse about an intervention to address the identified issue OR takes a novel theoretical or conceptual approach to understanding the identified issue
