Electronic Journal of Africana Bibliography (EJAB) (ISSN 1092-9576) is a refereed, online, open access journal of annotated bibliographies and bibliographic essays.   Coverage includes any aspect of Africa and the African Diaspora, including but not limited to, its peoples, their homes, cities, towns, districts, states, countries, and regions, and including all subject areas with a specific interest in social, economic sustainable development, creative literature, and the arts.

The journal was originally created in 1997 by John Bruce Howell of The University of Iowa Libraries in Iowa City. After Howell's passing in late 1997, Afeworki Paulos served as primary editor until 2004. Edward Miner succeeded as managing editor in 2005 and guided its publication until 2014.   In 2021, the journal is being reborn with a new editorial team, under the auspices of Columbia University Libraries in New York.
