En tant que partie intégrante du processus de soumission, les auteurs doivent s'assurer de la conformité de leur soumission avec tous les éléments suivants, et les soumissions peuvent être retournées aux auteurs qui ne sont pas conformes à ces directives.

La soumission n'a pas déjà été publiée et n'est pas considérée actuellement par une autre revue. Si ce n'est pas le cas, fournir une explication dans le champ "Commentaires au rédacteur".

Le fichier de la soumission est dans un des formats de fichier suivants : OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF ou WordPerfect.

Lorsque possible, les URLs des références ont été fournies.

Le texte est à simple interligne, utilise une police de 12 points, emploie l'italique plutôt que le souligné (sauf pour les adresses URL) et place toutes les illustrations, figures et tableaux aux endroits appropriés dans le texte plutôt qu'à la fin.

Le texte se conforme aux exigences stylistiques et bibliographiques décrites dans les Directives aux auteurs, qui se trouvent dans la section « À propos de la revue ».
Directives aux auteurs
The Student Journal for the Study of Human Rights (SJSHR) seeks contributions that further the existing literature in the field of human rights studies and provide an in-depth analysis to current challenges and emerging crises.
SJSHR accepts submissions from Columbia affiliates who are third and fourth year undergraduate students or graduate students in master’s and doctoral programs.
SJSHR is a forward-thinking and norm-challenging academic journal that welcomes all researchers in the interdisciplinary field of human rights studies. We proudly call for submissions from researchers who push the boundaries of the binary, from diverse perspectives including the LGBTQ+ community, Black, Indigenous Peoples, and people of color (“BIPOC”), including authors from Hispanic, Asian, and Arab descent. We encourage you to submit your work to SJSHR.
Files to Upload
To submit to SJSHR, upload the following Microsoft Word files using the link at the top of this page:
1. Your de-identified manuscript, with all traces of your name removed to facilitate anonymous peer review. The manuscript should include:
- The title of the manuscript
- An abstract (max length, 250 words) on a separate page
- The main body
- Bibliography, in alphabetical order
- Figure-caption list and tables
2. A separate title page that includes:
- The title of the manuscript and the name of author(s), with degrees
- Authors' affiliation: academic department, institution, city, and state (or nation)
- The corresponding author's telephone number and e-mail address
3. A separate cover letter that includes:
- A brief statement certifying the manuscript contains original work, has not been published previously, and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere, including any declarations of conflicts of interest, and proof of IRB approval if applicable.
- Optional: Explain why your manuscript aligns with the SJSHR mission, aim and scope.
Publication Author Agreement
Following acceptance for publication, authors must sign an author agreement to grant SJSHR appropriate rights to publish the article. Authors retain all copyrights to the article.
Citation or Intellectual Property Concerns
When/If there are concerns with a citation or intellectual property, SJSHR abides by Columbia University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences policy on Academic Integrity and Responsible Conduct of Research.
