Submission Instructions
The Student Journal for the Study of Human Rights (SJSHR) seeks contributions that further the existing literature in the field of human rights studies and provide an in-depth analysis to current challenges and emerging crises.
SJSHR accepts submissions from Columbia affiliates who are third and fourth year undergraduate students or graduate students in master’s and doctoral programs, including law students.
SJSHR is a forward-thinking and norm-challenging academic journal that welcomes all researchers in the interdisciplinary field of human rights studies. We proudly call for submissions from researchers who push the boundaries of the binary, from diverse perspectives including the LGBTQ+ community, Black, Indigenous Peoples, and people of color (“BIPOC”), including authors from Hispanic, Asian, and Arab descent. We encourage you to submit your work to SJSHR.
