The Columbia Journal of Asia (CJA) is currently accepting submissions for its next issue, due by 11:59pm EST on Thursday, September 5th, 2024. The priority submissions deadline is 11:59pm EST on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024. We welcome both research papers ("notes" of 1,500-4,000 words and "articles" of 4,000+ words) and creative works (visual art, poetry, prose, and translations of under 2,000 words). Undergraduates from all universities, majors, tracks, and class years are encouraged to submit.
CJA is an open-access, peer-reviewed platform for academic and creative pieces relating to Asia and the Asian diaspora, launched in partnership with Columbia Libraries and faculty in the departments of History, MESAAS, EALAC, and Gender Studies. It addresses an urgent need for meaningful representations of Asian narratives as an integral part of the humanities, arts, and social sciences.
