Permission to Reprint

For any articles published from Volume 44 (2019) onward, reprinting of published materials is permitted as long as the reuse is in compliance with the journal's Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License (CC-BY 4.0). 

Any reproduction or republication of an article, other than a photocopied duplicate of an original printed copy, must attribute that the article first appeared in the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law, using a method of citation similar to the form set out below:

This article originally appeared at [volume #] Colum. J. Envtl. L. [page #] ([year]).

To request permission to reprint entire articles or excerpts of articles from the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law published prior to 2019, please send us a request with the following information:

  • The exact cite, author’s name, and title of the copyrighted material.
  • A description of how the copyrighted material will be used.
  • The author and title of the work in which the excerpted material is to be reprinted.
  • The publishing house, proposed date of publication, and number of copies that will be produced.

 

Permission to Photocopy

For any materials published from Volume 44 onward, reuse of materials is permitted as long as it is in compliance with the journal's Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License (CC-BY 4.0). 

The Columbia Journal of Environmental Law is registered with the Copyright Clearance Center.  For permission to photocopy materials from printed archives issues for educational or business use, please contact them by mail or visit their website.
