Consilience typically opens up applications to join the team at the beginning of each academic semester (September and January). With the exception of the Briefings Team, only applicaitions from students and faculty at Columbia University are accepted. Roles Typically Offered

1) Academic Journal: members of the Journal staff vet and edit academic research papers submitted from professors, students, and professionals from all over the world.

2) Briefings: Consilience publishes a Briefings column, where short articles (~1300 words) relating to sustainable development issues and current events are published regularly.

3) Management: the Managing Board works on the operational side of Consilience and plans events. Managing Board members are the main orchestators of the Youth Climate Summit, an event hosted by Consilence annually at Columbia
